Despite much research and effort, this problem remains a major challenge in the fields of philosophy, neuroscience, and psychology, and there is no consensus on how to solve it. There are many different approaches to the hard problem of consciousness. And different philosophers and scientists have proposed a range of theories and hypotheses to try to explain the relationship between the brain and consciousness.
[15:49] Some theories propose that consciousness is a fundamental aspect of the universe, like space or time, and that it is not reducible to physical processes in the brain. So that is a zero and a one has the same quote-unquote information as a one and a zero. It doesn't tell you the meaning to take from those symbols. We have to then translate that. Okay, so can an AI learn the meaning of symbols without the help of humans?
[19:13] It is possible for an artificial intelligence system to learn the meanings of symbols without the direct involvement of humans. However, this process can be challenging because symbols are abstract and do not have inherent meaning. Their meaning must be assigned by an external process, such as by a human who assigns meaning to the symbols. One way that an AI system can learn the meanings of symbols is through the use of machine learning algorithms, which allow the system to learn through experience and interaction with the world.
[19:43] For example, an AI system could be trained on a large dataset of text and images that have been labeled with specific meanings, allowing the system to learn the meanings of different symbols through repeated exposure to these labeled examples. It is not accurate or appropriate to make generalizations about the differences between the East and the West in terms of how knowledge is acquired. As the histories and cultures of these regions are complex and diverse and there are many variations within each region. Additionally, the concept of knowledge and the methods by which it is acquired have varied significantly over time and across different cultures and societies.
[21:43] That being said, it is true that different cultures and societies have emphasized different approaches to knowledge acquisition and have placed different value on different forms of knowledge. Some cultures may place a greater emphasis on experiential learning, while others may place a greater emphasis on analytical or theoretical approaches. Some cultures may also place a greater value on spiritual or religious knowledge, while others may place a greater value on scientific or empirical knowledge.

To me, this is integrally tied to the hard problem of consciousness, but it's also tied to how we think about information and knowledge. At least for myself, trained in math and physics, there's the academy, so the universities train you for a much more logical approach. There's virtually nothing in there that says experience this, except in the root of the word experiment, which is the true test of all physics.
[25:47] It is possible for a logical approach to lead to an experiential one, as a logical approach involves the use of reasoning and critical thinking to understand and evaluate ideas. And this process can lead to the acquisition of new knowledge and experiences. Similarly, an experiential approach, which involves firsthand observation and learning through direct experience, can lead to the development of logical and analytical skills. For example,

One example of how a logical approach can lead to an experiential one is the process of scientific research. In scientific research, a logical approach is often used to formulate hypotheses and theories about how the world works.

[28:02] Historical contextual, this approach involves examining the context in which an event or phenomenon occurred, including the historical, cultural, and social factors that may have influenced it. [31:31] There are many different perspectives and explanations for the existence of evil in the world, and it is not possible to provide a comprehensive list of all possible explanations. Some other possible explanations for the existence of evil that have been proposed by various religious, philosophical, and cultural traditions include.
